About the Course

This e-learning course is designed to give you the basics you need to know for working effectively with Japanese customers, colleagues, suppliers and partners. The topics covered are communication style, decision-making style, conveying information, work style, and etiquette. The key things you'll need to know are conveyed concisely, in six videos ranging from 9 to 12 minutes each. After finishing, you'll feel prepared and confident for your next meeting, conference call or business trip. NOTE: While this course provides the basic knowledge needed to work successfully with Japanese, it doesn't provide the same depth of information, interactivity and customization that a full-length live course does. Instructor: Pernille Rudlin

Pernille Rudlin is the Europe, Middle East and Africa Representative for Japan Intercultural Consulting. Since starting Japan Intercultural Consulting’s operations in Europe in 2004, Pernille has conducted seminars for Japanese and European companies in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, UAE, the UK and the USA, on Japanese cultural topics, post merger integration, leadership and on working with different European cultures. She was brought up partly in Japan and partly in the UK. She is fluent in spoken and written Japanese, and lived in Japan for 9 years. She has worked for two of Japan's largest multinationals in a variety of roles from sales to marketing to HR to corporate planning and she is the author of several books and articles on cross cultural communications and business.
